If you are only coming for the free trial lesson: there is nothing to prepare. Bring no documents and no health certificate, simply come to the Kadaka training ground at the agreed time. If you have already decided to study with a driving school, though, the first step is worth taking now.
How the training works

Driver's health certificate
Without it a driving school cannot register you as a student. You can get one from your family doctor or through Liikluslab. By their own comparison the price is the same or lower, €35–40, but there is no wait for an appointment and, if you name the school there, the certificate reaches us on its own. If it was issued elsewhere, send us only the decision (otsus) – the sheet with the validity date and any conditions; the school does not need your medical history.
The trial lesson does not need a certificate – it takes place on an area closed to traffic. Enrolling on the course does.

Training contract
We sign it digitally, so there is no need to come in. The contract sets out the price and the payment schedule.
If you are under 18, we need the details of a legal representative, your mother or father, for the contract. Send them as a reply to our email.

Theory
Starts once the contract is signed and the certificate is in place. Theory runs in the Liikluslab e-learning environment at your own pace, plus three web lectures.

Driving starts after 30% of the theory
That means the first three chapters. Starting earlier would spend a driving lesson explaining theory, which is your time and money going to the wrong place. Our aim is your knowledge and your use of it, not extra lessons to sell you later.

Part of the training and included in the price. Check the next dates and sign up for the one that suits you.

Included in the price. Once you have completed about ten driving lessons, remind your instructor to arrange it for you.

At least 30 driving lessons
That is the legal minimum for category B; how many you actually need depends on you. Lessons start from the Kadaka Selver car park.
Those 30 include the skid training, the night driving session and the school’s driving exam – they do not come on top.

The school's driving exam
Our own exam, run along the lines of the state one. Only after it can the school mark your course complete, and without that mark no slot for the state test can be booked.

Theory exam and the state test
Once the theory is finished and the school's theory exam at Liikluslab is passed, you can register for the Transpordiamet theory exam. A passed theory exam is valid for one year, and the driving test has to happen within it.

How long it takes
The law says a category B basic-stage course may not be shorter than four weeks. That is the floor, not the usual pace.

We recommend twice a week. Everyone learns at their own pace, and a long gap between lessons takes confidence away, which is a more common problem than going too fast.
What you can do today
- Book an appointment for the health certificate.
- If you are under 18, ask a parent for the contract details and send them to us.
- Look at the first aid dates and pick one.
The health declaration is valid for 30 days from signing. If the medical check happens later, the declaration has to be filled in again, so do not do it months ahead.
Common questions
I already have a health certificate. What now?
Let us know and you will not need to repeat it. If it was issued by Liikluslab and the school was named there, the details reach us on their own. Otherwise send us the decision (otsus) – only the sheet with the validity date and any conditions.
I am under 18. Can I start at all?
You can. The contract needs a legal representative's details: send them as a reply to our email and everything else follows as usual.
Can I start the theory before the certificate?
No. The certificate is what lets the school register you as a student, and everything else starts from that registration.
Are all the extra courses included in the price?
Yes. First aid, skid training and night driving are all part of the course price, with nothing extra to pay.
If anything is unclear, ask. We answer on working days, usually sooner than within one.
