Autokool Kindel Rool teaches B-category. Motorcycle training is run by a separate school — Motokool Kindel Lenks. The same people and the same principles, but its own name and its own focus.
Why motorcycling is a separate school, not an add-on service
A motorcycle is not a smaller car. Balance, where you look, braking on a slope and on a slippery surface, a manoeuvre in an emergency — these are skills in their own right. They cannot be taught properly “on the side, alongside the car”. That is why motorcycle training here is a separate school under its own name: it has to be a speciality, not a line in a price list.
The instructor has to ride — every day, not once upon a time
This is a matter of principle for me. Motorcycling can only be taught by someone who rides constantly: who knows the start and the end of the season, wet tarmac, a crosswind on the bridge, city traffic and long stretches of open road. Not someone whose last time in the saddle was ten years ago. And not a weekend rider whose experience amounts to a couple of loops in good weather.
It genuinely troubles me to see people who already hold a motorcycle licence but whose riding position is completely wrong, and who can neither brake nor steer their way out of a dangerous situation. The reason is often simple: their previous instructor either did not ride properly himself, or could not be bothered to pass those skills on. I am convinced that a large share of motorcycle injuries starts exactly there — not with the power of the bike, but with what the rider was never taught.
No production line
At the moment I teach motorcycling myself, alone. I do not go for volume: if more people come than I can genuinely guide, I would rather have a waiting list than let a lesson become a formality. When the school grows, the condition stays the same — every instructor must be an active rider who is out on a bike himself, regularly. Otherwise there will be no new instructor.
The same principle applies to car training at Kindel Rool. We have never been a production line and do not intend to become one.
